Def: simulacrum (n)
-an image or representation of an object or person
-an unsatisfactory imitation or substitute
----------------------------
Are all photographs simulacrums of a specific time, a reproduction that will never represent the original object or person in full detail or depth?
Can a photograph ever hold enough truth to honestly capture the essence of that object, or is it a task of futility?
Does the discovery from the lens itself create a new experience entirely from that object, still worthy or acknowledgement?
