We get so used to the structures and businesses around us that we often become desensitized and no longer notice the idiosyncratic characteristics of our surroundings.

When visiting places like my hometown of Huntsville, my eye is often caught by the peculiar buildings tucked away on side roads and highways. No matter the state or country, there is always something new to see in a different light and from a new perspective.
