TIMELAPSE SPORE PRINT
Stropharia rugosoannulata
This series of digital photographs shows the dispersal of dark spores made by Winecap mushrooms over 12 hours. The distinct gills of the mushrooms leave white bands of bright uncovered streaks after the mushroom is lifted, surrounding the distinct circle of the central stem.
An organic artwork that resembles charcoal drawings with high contrast and wide value range in black and white, or a monoprint with dark inky impressions. After removing the mushroom cap from the print, it looses a clear subject matter and becomes more non-objective or even expressive abstract patterns.
