Heart and Mind
The art medium of paint on paper is not only an expression, but a record of action. They physical effort put into creating an image is expressed on the paper or canvas, The motion, pressure, speed and focus is manifested in the application of paint to paper, while the emotion, intention, discovery and spirit of the work combines with those physical qualities to create expression.
Left Hemisphere and right, combined to witness our surroundings. We often speak of our heart and mind as two forces of our spirit, soul or identity. How does the dialog between the two manifest in our actions, words, and thoughts, and can we channel that inner dialog to the benefit of culture or expression?
